Dalmeri rockshelter

An archaeological site where you can travel back in time and discover how our ancestors lived 13 thousand years ago, after the retreat of the ice sheets during the last great ice age. Take part in a rich programme of activities and enjoy a unique experience discovering the life, art and spirituality of Homo sapiens.

From Trento (94 km):
Take the Valsugana road to Primolano, exit at the junction for Enego. Follow the signs for Piana della Marcesina/Rifugio Barricata. About 1 km after the Rifugio Barricata, on the left, begins the forest road that you must follow on foot to reach the rockshelter in about 20 minutes.
From Asiago (30 km):
Take the SP 76 towards Enego. After Foza, at the fork, take the road for Piana della Marcesina/Rifugio Barricata. About 1 km after the Rifugio Barricata, on the left, begins the forest road that you must follow on foot to reach the rockshelter in about 20 minutes.

Due to the severe weather that hit Trentino at the end of 2018, the site was closed. All summer activities are temporarily suspended.
