What sound does a glacier make?
An immersive, multimedia installation that will take you into the very heart of a glacier to reflect on the implications of climate change through analysis of sound, with an approach that merges art and scientific research.

Created in 2020 from an idea by researcher and sound artist Sergio Maggioni, aka NEUNAU, this project involves an interdisciplinary team of experts and has led to a series of expeditions to capture and analyse the sound made by the melting glaciers.

The material gathered on the Adamello, the largest glacier in the Italian Alps, forms the base for the first part of the project, which will be presented at the Geological Museum of the Dolomites in Predazzo.

The project comprises an installation, themed encounters open to the public and scientific research activities.
