The Arco Arboretum is all that remains of an ancient park that Archduke Albert of Habsburg commissioned to surround his villa at the end of the nineteenth century. Thanks to the mild climate due to the presence of Lake Garda, here you will find a luxuriant evergreen selection of warm-zone plants that include North American conifers, plants from South East Asia and the Mediterranean. Today, the Arboretum is home to some 200 different species of trees and shrubs covering an area of about 2 hectares.
We collaborate with Arco Town Council and the Provincial Service for Nature Conservation and Environmental Enhancement to carry out environmental education activities and monitor the development phases of the plants.
