At the Geological Museum of the Dolomites in Predazzo, in Val di Fiemme, rocks, minerals and fossils tell you all about the happenings and stories that are part of us and the land we live in.
Surrounded by the UNESCO World Heritage mountains, the museum has over 12,000 exhibits, including Italy’s biggest collection of invertebrate fossils from the Middle Triassic cliffs.
You will go on a journey into the geological history of the Dolomites, with all their beauty and fragility, following the traces of what for centuries has linked us to these peaks, from the adventures of the very first scientists, explorers and climbers in the early nineteenth-century to date.
